Scene 1: Gobo and Jackson’s bedroom apartment
Narrator: Gobo and Jackson were now adults. They live in the apartment with their pet black and white cat (Robbie) by taking good care of him such as giving him baths, brushing his fur, feeding him treats, playing with him, and taking him on walks in their neighborhood. Gobo was the librarian by working at the library. Jackson was a technology staff member by working at Verizon. But today, Jackson was inside the bedroom relaxing on his bed while he played Eden World Builder on his phone after he took a break from working Verizon.
Jackson (bubbly): Oh boy! I love Eden World Builder! This is calming my mindset! I think I’m gonna build a big house for my two favorite monsters (Moof & Nergle) to live in! Golly, they’re the cutest monsters ever! Ha ha ha ha ha!
Narrator: Meanwhile, Gobo walked inside the bedroom with Robbie by putting him on a leash while he bugged Jackson to take him on walks around their neighborhood.
Gobo (pushy): Jackson, come on! We have to take Robbie outside on a walk around our neighborhood!
Jackson (tired): Gobo, I don’t feel like going on walks with Robbie right now! I really need a break from working at Verizon!
Gobo: And what game are you playing?
Jackson: I’m playing Eden World Builder on my phone! It’s similar to Minecraft!
Gobo (possessive): Interesting! Anyhow, Robbie really needs his exercise to go on walks with us! You have to come with me to take him outside on a walk around our neighborhood!
Robbie the black and white cat: Meow!
Jackson: I can’t right now, Gobo! I need to chill for a moment to play Eden World Builder on my phone after coming back from work!
Narrator: Gobo kept bothering Jackson by expecting him to take Robbie outside on a walk while Jackson needed his break to play Eden World Builder on his phone.
Gobo (frazzled): Please Jackson! We are going to take Robbie outside on a walk around our neighborhood! He really needs his exercise!
Robbie the black and white cat: Meow meow!
Jackson (polite): Not right now, okay? I really need to rest and play Eden World Builder on my phone!
Narrator: Jackson did not listen to Gobo while he was still playing Eden World Builder on his phone.
Jackson (giddy): And guess what! This is the house I built for my two favorite monsters (Moof & Nergle) to live in! For the house, I use…
Narrator: Gobo became mad/pissed off at Jackson while he yelled at him and grabbed his phone away from him.
Gobo (shouted angrily): GET OFF YOUR PHONE RIGHT NOW! WE ARE TAKING ROBBIE ON A WALK OUTSIDE OF OUR APARTMENT! LET’S GO!
Robbie the black and white cat (startled): Meow!
Narrator: Jackson became upset at Gobo after he yelled at him and grabbed his phone away from him.
Jackson (drowned out): Stop pressuring me, Gobo! I am so sick and tired of you demanding me several times to take Robbie on a walk outside of our apartment! If I said no, that is a no! Alright? That is extremely disrespectful of you to scream at someone while you’re mad/upset/frustrated about something!
Gobo (rude): I DON’T CARE! YOU WERE LITERALLY PLAYING A GAME ON YOUR PHONE WHILE I WAS DEMANDING YOU TO TAKE ROBBIE ON A WALK OUTSIDE OF OUR APARTMENT! THIS IS TOTALLY YOUR FAULT, JACKSON!
Jackson (upset): You were extremely rude by shouting at me and grabbing my phone away for no reason! I was going to finish building the house for my favorite monsters to live in. But you were bothering me about taking Robbie for walks outside of our apartment while I was resting and playing Eden World Builder on my phone!
Robbie the black and white cat: Meow meow!
Gobo (frustrated): That’s not the point! I had to beg you several times to take Robbie on walks outside of our apartment, but you were so busy playing a game on your phone while you were resting in our bedroom.
Jackson (overwhelmed): Well, you should’ve asked me next time instead of screaming at me while you’re frustrated.
Narrator: Gobo felt sorry while he apologized to Jackson for being mean to him.
Gobo (sorry): Yeah but…I am so sorry for shouting at you and grabbing your phone away! I feel left out that you didn’t get a chance to go out for a walk with me & Robbie while you’re having your alone time playing a game on your phone inside our bedroom.
Jackson (calm): I accept your apology, Gobo! It could be hard for you to not hangout with someone while they’re tired/needed their break after coming home from work.
Gobo: Well…yeah! What you should’ve done is to take a break playing a game on your phone so we could take Robbie outside for a short walk around our neighborhood and then get back to playing your favorite game on your phone! I don’t wanna lose you!
Jackson: Lose me? I wasn’t losing you! I’m always your best friend! I really care about you!
Gobo: Really?
Narrator: Jackson puts his hand on Gobo’s shoulder while he talks to Gobo.
Jackson: Yeah! I was never mad/upset at you! I was never mean to you either! I’m always nice, caring, and a good friend to you! Besides, we’re still best friends with each other after graduating from our high school a long time ago!
Gobo: I do remember that!
Jackson: And I’m sorry for leaving you behind while I was busy playing my favorite game on my phone!
Gobo: That’s totally okay! I know you wanted to rest and take a break after coming back from work!
Jackson: Yup! I will keep my promise to go for a walk with you and Robbie another time if I’m not tired from doing my routine.
Robbie the black and white cat: Meow!
Gobo: Good idea! Since you needed a break from taking Robbie outside on a walk after you came back from work today, what do you want to do instead?
Jackson: Do you wanna cook penne pasta with red sauce, meatballs, and mozzarella shredded cheese for lunch and watch a movie with me?
Gobo: Sure! We could do that! Shall we watch The Dark Crystal movie?
Jackson: Heck yeah we can!
Robbie the black and white cat: Meow!
Scene 2: Lunch at the dining room
Narrator: After Gobo and Jackson compromised with each other, they had their homemade penne pasta with red sauce, meatballs, and mozzarella shredded cheese for lunch while they watched The Dark Crystal movie on DVD. Robbie had his cat treats for his lunch while he sipped his bowl of water.
Jackson (happy): So, how was lunch?
Gobo (happy): It was delish! Man, I really enjoyed The Dark Crystal movie!
Jackson (happy): It sure was! Kira and Jen are my favorite characters!
Gobo (happy): Me too! Kira’s a really great friend of Jen!
Jackson (happy): She sure is!
Robbie the black and white cat (purring): Meow!
Jackson: You know, it would be possible if each of us take turns picking out our plans while we hang out together!
Gobo: That would be a good way for adults to show respect to each other!
Jackson: You’re right about that, Gobo! And if I don’t feel like going out somewhere while needing a break after coming back from work, we’ll still hang out together and maybe do some fun things at home!
Gobo: I think that’ll work too, Jackson! Maybe we could draw pictures on our sketchbooks, make some crafts, and play some board games at home while we hangout!
Jackson: We sure can! I was thinking we could try finger-knitting a chunky blanket by watching a YouTube video on my phone and trying to play a Rummikub board game while we listen to our music playlist on your phone!
Gobo: Rummikub sounds like a perfect board game to calm our mindsets! Tell you what, how about we finger-knit a blue chunky blanket for our friend (Boober) to give to him on Christmas!
Jackson: You know what, Gobo! That sounds like a perfect idea! I’m sure Boober will love a chunky blanket!
Gobo: I’m sure he will! Blue is Boober’s favorite color!
Jackson: I bet he does like blue!
Robbie the black and white cat: Meow!
Gobo (smiles): From now on, we’re gonna remember to take turns picking out our plans while we hang out together!
Jackson (chuckles): You could say that again, Gobo!
Jackson and Gobo (laughs): Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!
Narrator: Jackson and Gobo continued to strike conversations with each other while they were still eating their lunch. It is important to let others pick out their plans while they spend time together! The End!
